Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) and Toboso National High School (TNHS), both under the Division of Negros Occidental, qualified to the final round of Quiz High S.Y. 2009-2010 slated February 27, 2010 at the Activity Center, SM City, Bacolod City. 

        Ben Joseph J. Harder and Juditha Russ A. Basanta of NOHS and TNHS respectively emerged as finalists after stiffly battling with 43 other students from public and private secondary schools around Bacolod City and Negros Occidental in a 50-item composite test in English, Science, Mathematics, Filipino, and Social Studies covering the learning competencies from the first to the third curriculum years administered for 45 minutes last January 16, 2010 at SM City Bacolod Activity Center.

        Quiz High S.Y. 2009-2010 is a provincial level program-based quiz contest being spearheaded by ABS-CBN Bacolod’s TV magazine program, MagTV na Amiga!, in partnership with the Department of Education – Division of Negros Occidental, University of St. La Salle – Bacolod, and Rotary Club of Bacolod, in the former’s commitment to support the promotion of academic excellence among the schools in the province.
