|Education Leaders of DepED - Neg Occ trained on Conflict Management|
One Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, 39 Public Schools District Supervisors, 5 Education Supervisors 1, and 2 Division Coordinators of the Division of Negros Occidental underwent a five-day (December 1-5, 2009) live-in formal face-to-face (F3) training on Conflict Management at Palmas Del Mar Resort, Bacolod City.
The training is one of the deliverables of the Division as charted in its Master Plan for Professional Development (MPPD) which in turn is based on the results of the organizational training needs assessment pointing at the skill of managing conflicts in the workplace among division educational leaders as a
top priority professional development need.
The aforesaid was made possible under the auspices of Project STRIVE with its Training and Development (T&D) Team, chaired by Mrs. Marsette D. Sabbaluca managing and delivering the sessions inasmuch as the same team developed the Training Resource Package that includes Structured Learning Episodes, Handouts, and Slide Presentations.
A unique feature of this training is its follow up mechanism christened Job-Embedded Learning (JEL) where each participant crafted a JEL contract in order to ensure application of what has been learned in the F3.
Mr. Rizalino S. Tortosa, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, had strongly endorsed and supported the program believing in its potential contribution to the improvement of learning outcomes of the Division.
