Overview of Education in the Division of Capiz

             The division of Capiz has 18 districts with a total of 422 primary/elementary schools. While there are 426 barangays, only 364 have public elementary schools. As of SY 2008-2009, there are 310 complete elementary schools and 52 secondary schools in the Division.

             Formal education for majority of school age children in Capiz Division starts at six years old, with Early Childhood Education integrated during the first eight weeks of the Grade I curriculum
