Two Neg Occ Schools make it to the ABS-CBN’s Quiz High Final 10 Print

        Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) and Toboso National High School (TNHS), both under the Division of Negros Occidental, qualified to the final round of Quiz High S.Y. 2009-2010 slated February 27, 2010 at the Activity Center, SM City, Bacolod City.

CLC - Plus refurbished Print

           The refurbishment of the CLC – Plus of the Division of Negros Occidental located at Binalbagan Elementary School, Binalbagan started January 4, 2010 and is expected to be operational March 2010.

          The Community Learning Center in partnership with STRIVE and local government of Binalbagan led by Mayor Alejandro “Bebot” Mirasol hopes to bring education to the out-of-school youth in a more accessible manner.

          The CLC is being managed by District ALS Coordinator Sonia Englis under the supervision of PSDS Luzminda Balderas.

 

 
Division to launch 2010 Gulayan Sa Paaralan Print

Come January 22, 2010, the Division of Negros Occidental will hold a launching program of the 2010 Gulayan sa Paaralan at Tabao Elementary School, Valladolid, Negros Occidental at 9:00 o’clock in the morning.

             The said program which primarily aims raise the level of public consciousness in health and nutritional dimensions of school gardens is expected to be attended by District EPP Coordinators and TLE Department Heads/Coordinators across the Division.

 

 
Division ALS identifies Service Providers Print

        The Division of Negros Occidental had forged partnerships with the Sipalay Teachers Employees and Credit Corporation, Inc. (SIPTECCI) and with the Paghidaet Ko Foundation, Inc. (PKFI) as two of its Service Providers which had complied with requirements of the BALS in the implementation of its major programs.

        SIPTECCI based in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental supports the Basic Literacy Program (BLP) with 6 learning groups of 25 learners as well as the Accreditation and Equivalency while the PKFI in Talisay City maintains 5 learning groups of 90 learners for Accreditation and Equivalency. The Division is positive on increasing the number of service providers as Mrs. Melanda S. Guanzon, ES-1 for ALS puts it, “Love is not love until you give it away.”

 

 
Neg Occ rules Regional Super Science Quiz Bee Print

       December 11, 2009 was an auspicious day for the Division of Negros Occidental as two of its delegates bagged the championship medals of the Regional Super Quiz Bee, Science Category both in the Elementary and Secondary held at Gaisano City, Iloilo City.
